Common siding problems we repair

- Storm and wind damage: panels cracked by debris, torn loose or blown off in a nor’easter
- Cracks and holes: from hail, ladders, lawn equipment, stray baseballs or woodpeckers
- Loose panels: vinyl that has come unhooked and flaps in the wind
- Warping and buckling: panels nailed too tight, or softened by sunlight reflected off windows or heat from a grill
- Rot and soft spots: in wood siding and trim, and in the sheathing under any siding where water has gotten in
- Failed caulk and flashing: gaps around windows, doors and trim where water gets behind the siding
- Fading and wear: usually worst on the side of the house that gets the most sun
